The Rivermead Golf Club in Gatineau finally has a new General Manager. The club has appointed Michel Demeule to the role. He comes from his recent General Manager position at Club de Golf le Portage in L’Assomption (QC).
The club has indicated that they are embarking on several upgrade projects for 2015 as they look to attract new members. Among them will be an upgrade to the range where they will be adding target greens as well as a renovation to holes 13 and 14 as laid out by their architect of record, Graham Cooke. The work on the 13th hole mostly focuses on the bunker and the rock wall to the left of the green complex. The new stone wall will be more similar to that found on their 18th hole while the bunker will be enhanced to prevent shots that land in it from rolling into the pond. The 14th tee is being extended to provide more teeing area.
