Ffrench & Wolff Prevail At OVGA Mixed

Team “Double ff” came out on top on Monday over a full field at the Ottawa Valley Golf Association Mixed Event at the Camelot Golf & Country Club in Cumberland, Ontario.

Marc Ffrench and Bonnie Wolff, both past winners of OVGA events and members at the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club, teamed up to shoot 74 over the layout that will host this year’s Canadian Amateur Championship.  They did so in wet, windy, and cool temperatures and without taking advantage of the par fives.  The duo bogeyed three of the par five holes, including their last one in this event that was played with a Shotgun Start and a Modified Alternate Shot Format.

Ffrench and Wolff actually tied the low gross score of Erika Godwin (Carleton Golf & Yacht Club) and Kyle Koski (Kanata Golf & Country Club) but won based on retrogression.

144 golfers played at Camelot, making this event another great success for the OVGA.
