Well, it appears the secret is out so we thought we would pile on. Flagstick Golf Magazine’s instructional guru Kevin Haime has been chosen to carry the Olympic Torch when it comes through Ottawa tomorrow.
Haime, best known as a CPGA Teaching professional who operates the Kevin Haime Golf Centre in Kanata with his wife Lisa, was nominated for the role by Rick Langford of RBC. Rick put Kevin’s name forward because of the work he does in the community with junior golfers.
If you want to cheer Kevin on his 300 metre leg of the relay starts at approximately 6:41 P.M. on Saturday, December 12th. He will start at 648 Somerset Street and run to Dundonald Park. From there the torch will be moving up Lyon Street to Parliament Hill for a ceremony and the lighting of the Christmas trees.
