After a variety of delays there is still 27 holes left to play at the Tour Cartagena de Indias at Karibana Championship Presented by Prebuild and Canada’s Brad Fritsch is still in the picture as a possible winner.  To do so though he will need to gain some ground on the final stretch of play.

The Manotick, Ontario native sits at three under par total with 9 holes to play in his third round after play was called due to darkness on Saturday night.

That puts the Rideau View Golf Club member in a share of 9th place and just three strokes back of second.  Miguel Angel Carbello of Argentina leads at 9 under par.

Fritsch opened with scores of 68 and 70 but struggled to a three over par, 39, on his opening nine holes of the third round.

Prior to the event Fritsch sat in 84th place on the tour’s money list but is projected to rise to 42nd if he can maintain his position.  Obviously if he is able to gain some ground on the players of ahead of him that could get a whole lot better.

The winner receives a prize of $126,000 (USD) from the $700,000 purse.
