Brad Fritsch and Matt McQuillan both posted decent scores today at the opening round of the eGolf Tour Golf In Morocco Classic. The event is being played in Blythewood, South Carolina and features a 1st place prize of approximately $35,000 (USD). The leading 8 players will also earn a spot on the European Challenge Tour’s Morocco Classic in April.
Fritsch, who now lives in North Carolina but grew up in the National Capital Region, shot four under par today and sits in a tie for 11th place. McQuillan, a Kingstonian, fired three under par and is tied for 22nd.
The leaders of the four round, at 7 under par, are Americans Tadd Fujikawa and Aaron Goldberg.
Also competing in the event are a number of other Canadians including Bryan DeCorso, Mike Mezei, and Richard Scott.
The 204 player field will be cut tomorrow for the final two rounds.
