Fritsch & Revell Make Weekend

Two Eastern Ontario pros will have a couple more rounds to play this weekend at the Canadian Tour’s Syncrude Boreal Open in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

While Roger Sloan leads the way at ten under par in his bid to win back-to-back tournaments on the circuit, Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ontario and Brad Revell of Kingston, Ontario have some ground to make up.

Fritsch is tied for 17th place at 4 under par.  He has turned in a score of 70 each day so far.

Revell, a rookie, opened with a 68 but turned in a 76 on Friday that involved a few more three putts than he had hoped.  He just made the cut on the number, his first cut made on the Canadian Tour, and he will begin his third round in a share for 57th place.

Ottawa’s Andrew Jensen withdrew and he is headed home on Saturday.  Jensen had an opening round 79 and cited a recurring arm injury as the reason for his decision to pack it in.
