Brad Fritsch is off to the right start at this week’s WEB.COM Tour Cox Classic presented by Lexus of Omaha.
The Manotick, Ontario raised player rebounded from a missed cut at the RBC Canadian Open last week to shoot five under par, 66, in the opening round of the tournament being held in Omaha, Nebraska.
Fritsch’s round was punctuated by five birdies and an eagle 2 on the par 4, 9th hole. He had just two bogies on the day.
Brad shares 13th place heading into round two. The leaders, Luke Guthrie, Aaron Goldberg and Bubba Dickerson are at nine under par.
Fritsch is the leading Canadian in the field. Heading into Omaha he sat 43rd on the year-long money list. The top 25 at the end of the season will earn PGA Tour Membership for 2013.
