The Golf Association of Ontario has released their 2015 Championships schedule and it includes two stops in eastern Ontario.
For the very first time the Ontario Junior Girls’ Golf Championship will be hosted in the National Capital. The Loch March Golf & Country Club, one of Ottawa’s finest tests of golf, will be the 2015 home of the championship on July 14-17.
The Loyalist Country Club in Bath, a past host to many GAO Championships and the home course of the The Great Waterway Classic for the PGA TOUR Canada will welcome the Ontario Senior Women’s and Mid-Amateur Championships. They will play out on July 21-23. Both have previously been contested at the course located just west of Kingston.
The 2015 Championship season for the GAO will get started on May 14 with the Men’s Better Ball Championship. The traditional host cub remains the Oakdale Golf and Country Club in Toronto.
A key event this season will be the playing of the 100th Ontario Women’s Amateur Championship. St. Thomas Golf & Country Club in Union will be the site on July 7-11.
New on the schedule for 2015 is the Ontario Pee Wee Championship. This two-round tournament will be open to boys and girls under 13-years old. Puslinch Lake Golf Course in Cambridge will be the host for the inaugural event, July 27-29.
