Golf Themed Brewing Company Expands Offerings – Triple Bogey Introduces Classic Transfusion

The little company that could is doing it again. In 2014, amidst a field of competition backed by large multi-national corporations, Triple Bogey Brewing came to life. Founder Geoff Tait, a golfer to the core, originally brought forward a beer that was inspired by the needs of golfers themselves. His full flavour but lighter Triple Bogey Beer, supported by a passionate owner and staff inspired by his willingness to provide a personal flair to service, found an audience.

A decade and 4 million cans of Original Lager later, you can find Triple Bogey for sale in some 800 locations including 450 golf courses, and the product family has grown immensely. Joining the original Triple Bogey Lager in the last ten years have been a handful of beverages including the Triple Bogey Blonde Light, Triple Bogey Amber, Triple Bogey Hard Seltzer (Lime), Hurry Hard Amber Lager (seasonal winter beer dedicated to Curlers / curling), and Triple Bogey Half & Half Lemonade & Iced Tea in 2022.

Late last year (as we shared on Twitter a few weeks back) we got word of a new offering from the company from Tait himself, and we were pleased to actually guess what it might be. The Triple Bogey Classic Transfusion is now here, and already finding success in both consumer samplings across Ontario, and in bookings for retail locations.

“We were blown away by the reaction and quick adoption of Half & Half Hard Lemonade & Iced Tea, but the response to the Transfusions, thus far, is well beyond even those numbers. Orders are ahead of samples. We’re getting creative just to meet early demand,” says Geoff Tait.

Because the Tranfusion has been a standard among country clubs throughout the United States for decades, Tait told us that getting the recipe right was more critical than ever because of the cocktail’s iconic position in the market.

Many formulations were tried and Tait believes they have a very appealing beverage that combines vodka, grape juice, ginger ale, and a hint of lime in a bold, but refreshing combination.

“It all began with beer. And we’re still a beer company at heart,” says Tait. “Our Original Lager has now sold over 4M cans alone and we’re super proud of that. The ‘Green Can’ remains our hero, the flagship or staple if you will in our product lineup, but we’re also tapped into recognizing the rapid growth and continuing consumer interest in the Ready-to-Drink (RTD) categories. Since day one, our primary objective has always been to make products that consumers are asking for, so adding Half & Half last season and Transfusions this year, both tradition rich and highly popular golf inspired beverages, really helps round out our lineup.”

Golfers can find the Triple Bogey Classic Transfusion immediately at locations in Ontario where they buy their Triple Bogey products, and more when the golf season gets underway. Tait says that it will be available across Canada this Spring in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Prince Edward island. They are also working on locations in British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
