The news for golfers looking to play in Cape Breton keeps getting better.

CBC is reporting that an Ottawa-based company is looking to manage and market the airport in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Currently serving mostly military, Coast Guard, and private flights, business has been growing there as more golfers seek easier ways to get to world-class golf in nearby Inverness at Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs.

Currently most golfers travelling by air either land in Halifax or Sydney and drive to Inverness. The drive from Halifax is about four hours while it is two from Sydney. Port Hawkesbury is just 102 kilometres from Inverness.
