Gunn Falls Back; Mills Steps Up

-Graham Gunn of Ottawa added a 72 Saturday to his opening round of 68 and now sits in 4th place at the Sicilian Senior Open, an event on the European Senior Tour.

Heading into the final round on Sunday Gunn is three strokes back of the lead.

The 54 hole tournament is being played at the Il Picciolo Golf Club in Castiglione di Sicilia, Italy.

The winner will receive $37,500 Euro.

-In Ponte Vedra, Florida former Deep River and Belleville resident Jon Mills leads the Nationwide Tour’s Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open by 2 strokes with just one round to play.

Mills, who was 31st on the tour’s money list heading into this, the last full-field event of the year, could secure his 2011 PGA Tour card with a big finish on Sunday. The top 25 players on the list after the Tour Championship will earn full PGA Tour status for 2011.
