Brittany Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ontario is off to the start she needs to successfully defend her title at the SunCoast Series Tour event at Black Bear Golf Club in Eustis, Florida.

After a nine birdie performance on Tuesday that netted her a score of 69 and a share of the lead, she continued her torrid pace of play on Wednesday.  The 24 year-old went one stroke deeper in the second of four scheduled rounds, using six birdies to help her to a four under par round of 68.  Her seven under par total maintains her share of the lead, alongside Tessa Teachman of the United States. Teachman shot a tournament low score of 67 in round two.

Just behind Brittany is a familiar face, her 17 year-old sister Brooke Henderson.  Brooke has finished now lower than third in her three starts in the SunCoast Tour this year, including a win in her first event.  Brooke shot 69 (-3) in round two to reach -5 overall. That has her in third place alone.

Anne-Catherine Tanguay of Quebec is tied for 11th at +1 overall (74-71).

Other Canadians:

Sabrina Sapone (Quebec) T-22 (73-76)

Alison Timlin (Ontario) T-38 (78-76)

Chelcia Petersen (Alberta) T-41 (79-76)

Kirby Dreher (British Columbia) T-56 (78-82)
