Kids To Course Classic A Resounding Success

The 4th annual Kevin Haime Kids to The Course Classic was held Tuesday at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Dunrobin, Ontario.

The tournament gathers some a cross-section of the National Capital Community to raise funds for several projects, primarily the Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative founded by CPGA Professional Kevin Haime and his wife Lisa.  The program provides CPGA golf education programs for young applicants and also pays for memberships for dozens of juniors at premium golf clubs around the region.  Last year more than 70 junior memberships were provided by the program.

Some of the funds raised also go to support the National Capital-Outaouais Ski Team, this year to the tune of $5,000.

This year’s event was another sell-out and golfers enjoyed a tremendous day.  “It was great to see you all here and we thank you, the golfers, and our sponsors and volunteers for all the support,” said Kevin Haime in his address at the dinner.  “It takes a lot of people to make this happen, hundreds of hours, but it’s worth it when you see how much the kids get out of it in the end.”
