Le Sorcier Changing Hands

After almost a year and a half on the market a deal is in place for new ownership at Le Sorcier Golf Club in Gatineau.

Continually ranked as one of the top public courses in the region Le Sorcier opened in 2004 but the original owners listed the property for sale early last year.

According to reports in various Quebec-based publications a purchase offer was accepted over the weekend with a closing date to come at the end of October.

The new ownership group consists of four investors including David Bradley of Bradley Group, a drilling company was recently acquired by rival Major Drilling for $80 million.

Bradley, based in Rouyn-Noranda, has been quoted as saying their group intends to invest heavily in the enhancement of Le Sorcier as they move forward.

No final selling price for the course was revealed but it was initially listed at $3.9 million in June of 2010.
