The Ottawa Hunt Club has selected their next head Golf Professional.

Members were informed on Thursday by General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Guy Prévost that Marc Peterson has been selected for the role.

The long-time PGA of Canada Class A Professional started in the business in 1986 at the Kingsway Golf Club. He subsequently became a Class A member in 1991.

In 1996 Marc founded the Ottawa Athletic Club (OAC) Golf School which quickly became the largest winter golf program in the country.

Marc was also selected as Teacher of the Year in the PGA of Canada – Ottawa Valley Zone and ranked Top 50 Teacher in America by Golf Range Magazine.

After a very successful stint as Head Professional at the Rivermead Golf Club, Marc returned to the OAC as their General Manager in 2007.

In 2018 Marc was the recipient of the Ottawa PGA Executive of the Year.

Peterson will begin his role as the Head Professional at the Ottawa Hunt Club on February 7, 2022.
