Mayhew Doubles Up At Cataraqui

Returning to amateur golf looks like it is paying off for Drew Mayhew.  The former mini-tour pro turned real estate agent wrapped up his second straight Cataraqui Field Day on Saturday, June 4th at the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club in Kingston, Ontario.  Mayhew, who played collegiate golf at DePaul University, shot two under par, 68, at his home track to beat out a strong field of contenders.

Narrowly defeated was another former pro, Jeff Crowe, who grew up as a Cataraqui member and now plays out of Camelot Golf & Country Club in Ottawa.  Crowe, who was coming off a victory at the OVGA Match Play Championship last Wednesday, shot even par, 70, to take second place alone.

Tying for third place was Jeff Ferguson and Simon Reyers.  Both Cataraqui members recorded scores of 71 on the day.

We hope to have a full list of results from the tournament for inclusion in our July print issue.
