The tally earned the Canadian Tour member a tie for 11th place with nine other golfers (including Winnipeg’s Chris Johnston) and a cheque for (USD) $1,838.00.

The winner of the tournament was James Vargas of Miami, Florida with a total score of 14 under par.

Today’s results put the 28 year-old McQuillan in 12th place on the tour’s money list and 5th place on their overall points list with just two events left to play in the Winter Series.

The only other regional pro in the field, Peter Sauerbrei, failed to make the 36 hole cut.

Canadian Bryan Decorso tied for 8th.
