ClubLink’s Greyhawk Golf Club, located in Ottawa’s east end, has a new Head Professional.
PGA of Canada Class A member Scott Mikkelsen, has been working at the club as an Associate since September of 2014, was recently named as the Head Professional.
Mikkelson has a strong record in the industry having served at clubs like Cataraqui Golf & Country Club, Mississippi Golf & Country Club, Pakenham Golf Club, and the Camelot Golf & Country Club.
“I’m looking forward to the new position,” Mikkelsen told Flagstick. “My focus will be on taking what was already great service and bringing it to another level. We have a solid team and we plan to add other good people. We’d like to expand the things we do for members, especially in areas like teaching and club fitting where we want to have more services and bring in some more modern technology. It’s all about making the golfers’ experience a better one.”
ClubLink’s Regional Director of Operation for the National Capital Region, Dany Lacombe, says Mikkelsen’s long tenure in the industry was a key factor in the appointment.
“We are very happy to have Scott work for us as the new Head Golf Professional,” Lacombe shared with Flagstick. ” He brings to our organization a wealth of experience that will help our young team of managers. GreyHawk and ClubLink are dedicated to have people who care about the customer and are not afraid to innovate. Scott is ready for the challenge and I am looking forward to work with him.”
