One of the premier golf clubs in the National Capital Region has a new administrative leader.
The Camelot Golf & Country Club in Cumberland has hired Greg Richardson as their new General Manager, replacing the departed Randy Moncrieff. Richardson has held the same position at another area private club, the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club in Manotick, Ontario, since November, 2001.
Prior to his time at Carleton he managed Ottawa’s Rideau Curling Club for five years.
On Sunday morning Carleton Golf & Yacht Club members were informed of Richardson’s decision to take the Camelot job.
He conveyed to Flagstick that it has been a great 12 years at the club but that it was just a time for a change.
Richardson brings impressive skills and credentials to the role. The Ottawa native is currently the President of the Canadian Society of Club Managers and is one of a small group of Canadians who has met the Certified Club Manager status under the standards of the Club Managers Association of America.
The forty-year old Carleton University graduate will officially be on duty at Camelot as of February 3rd.
