– Cataraqui member Patti Hogeboom prevailed on home turf on Sunday.  The 28 year-old won the Eastern Provinces Championship with a deciding 4&3 victory over clubmate Andrea Blackwell in the final match of the championship.  Hogeboom was dominant on her path to the victory winning her matches by totals of 5&4, 3&2, 5&4, and 4&3, respectively.  Hogeboom is now off to the Ontario Champion of Champions of Tuesday at the Wildfire Golf Club just east of Peterborough.

– A strong field is attempting to qualifying for the Golf Quebec Alexander of Tunis Championship on Monday.  A qualifier is taking place at the Prescott Golf Club.  To see the leaderboard you can view it here.

– The CN Canadian Women’s Tour is in the Montreal area for their second event of the season. Regulation play starts Tuesday and runs through Wednesday.  Among those in the field as several Eastern Ontario players including juniors, amateurs, and professionals.  They include Brooke Henderson, Augusta James, Kiersten Klekner-Alt, Rebecca Mulville, and Victoria Thompson.  A leaderboard will be available Tuesday here.

-The Ottawa Zone of the PGA of Canada is conducting their Spring Open on Monday.  It is the first event of the year on the Player’s Tour. The Golf Trends Spring Open presented by SkyCaddie is being played at the Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club.  Flagstick’s Joe McLean is on scene doing the the starting and will provide a full report upon completion of play.  A draw is available online here.
