Ottawa PGA Hands Out Annual Awards

The PGA Of Canada Ottawa Zone celebrated their 35th anniversary this past Monday, October 17th.

As part of the celebration held at the Chateau Cartier Resort in the Aylmer Section of Gatineau, Quebec , the Zone’s annual awards recognizing outstanding achievements by members were handed out.

The winners of the respective awards included:

Teaching Professional of the Year – Matt Robinson, Rideau View Country Club

Junior Leader of the Year – Kevin Haime, Kevin Haime Golf Centre

Sales Representative of the Year – Dave Glasbey, Callaway Golf Canada

Assistant Professional of the Year – Alec Hubert, The Royal Ottawa Golf Club

Golf Professional of the Year – Luke Saunders, Rivermead Golf Club

Lifetime Achievement Award – Harry Hereford, Ottawa PGA

Also during the evening three gentleman were announced as Honorary Directors for the PGA Of Canada Ottawa Zone.  It is a honour that is bestowed on few people, all who have demonstrated a commitment to the Zone and helping to promote it’s ideals and membership.  Named as Honorary Directors were John Haime, Paul Carson and Flagstick’s own Joe McLean.
