OVGA Board Makes Significant Approval

With the annual Ottawa Valley Golf Association spring meeting looming on April 21st their Board had much on their plate for a meeting last night. The biggest issue was the recent choice by some of their Ontario based member clubs to change affiliations from Golf Quebec to the Golf Association of Ontario. So far this has included some 12 courses with another dozen of the 60 waiting on a key OVGA Board decision.

That decision came last night as we have been told that the Board approved the proposal that will continue to allow members at Golf Association of Ontario affiliated OVGA member clubs to participate in OVGA run events.

This effectively makes the OVGA a hybrid organization of Golf Quebec and GAO affiliated clubs.

We will have more details and reaction to the decision in the coming days.
