Pakenham Hosts OVGA Juniors – Paré Tops With 74

The Pakenham Golf Club hosted young golfers from the Ottawa Valley Golf Association on Sunday June 2nd.  The occasion was the first field day for 2013.

Leading the way for junior girls on the day was Victoria Murray of Manotick’s Rideau View Golf Club.  Murray was tops by 21 strokes after recording a 98.  Lauren Middlemiss was second at 119. Middlemiss is a member at Whitetail Golf Club in Eganville.

A commanding win was also in order in the Boys 13 and Under Division where Eagle Creek’s Jake Bryson posted a 79.  That was 17 shots clear of the silver medalist in the division, Curtis Aldrich of Rideau View Golf Club.

In the Boys Juvenile age group  (14-16) Eric Marshall of the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club had the low round of the day at 77.  That put him two strokes up on Nicholas Heroux of Rivermead Golf Club and Maneil Joshi of Rideau View Golf Club who shared second with their mutual score of 77.

In the last group of the day Stéphane Paré posted the round of the day.  The Rivermead Golf Club member shot 74 to lead the Junior Boys (age 17/18) by four strokes.  Jonah O’Connor of DragonFly Golf Links and Josh Goheen of Rideau View shared second in the group at 78 a piece.
