Due to inclement weather on Tuesday, round one of the Golf Association of Ontario (GAO) had to be shortened. It created a long day for competitors on Wednesday as they played into dusk to compete the second round at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville.

Almonte, Ontario’s James Parsons will carry the 36-hole lead into the final round on Thursday.  The Team Ontario member who calls the Mississippi Golf Club home has posted rounds of 71 and 72.  It gives him a slim one shot lead over Kelvin Lim of Vaughn, Ontario and fellow Eastern Ontario golfer – Ty Celone of Long Sault.

Celone, a member at Upper Canada Golf Club, has recorded rounds of 71 and 73 so far.

Toronto’s Jennifer Yoon fired a sparkling 69 on Wednesday to grab the lead from Monet Chun.  Yoon, with rounds of 72 and 69, sits at -3 overall, two shots better than Chun.

The final round kicks off at 7:30 a.m on Thursday. For more information, including leaderboards and pairings, see the tournament sites at: http://gao.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/gao15/event/gao1525/index.htm(boys) and http://gao.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/gao15/event/gao1526/index.htm(girls).
