Presant Wins Kingston District Championship

On a beautiful sunny Sunday in Belleville at the Black Bear Ridge Golf Course, the Kingston District of the Golf Association of Ontario conducted a rescheduled Men’s District Championship.

It originally was scheduled to be played at Cataraqui on August 21 but was cancelled due to rain, thunderstorm and lightning.

Winning an exemption to play in next year Amateur Provincial Championship was Clayton Presant from Cataraqui with an excellent 75. Clayton also won the Junior Division of this Championship.

Finishing second to Presant was another Cataraqui golfer, Conor Rodrigues, who shot 79.

Rob McCraken of Bay of Quinte GC won the Amateur Division with an 82 while his club-mate, Aaron Kenny, topped the Mid-Amateur flight with a 78. He beat out Peter Sauerbrei of Cataraqui who took 2nd place.

Super Senior aged Roger Ling of Trillium Wood shot 75 to win the Senior Division.
