Buckingham golfer Sebastien Provost is right where he needs to be; the only catch it that he still has two more rounds of golf to play before he has won anything. In any case, the young Buckingham Golf Club member is likely pretty happy to be leading at the halfway mark at the SunLife Quebec Junior Provincial Championships being held at the Outaouais Golf Club in Rockland, Ontario this week.
Prevost shot 72 on Tuesday and matched with his opening 69 that puts him three clear of the field. Three back of him is Joey Savoie of Pinegrove. Savoie shot the low round of the tournament so far, a 66, on Tuesday to put himself in the lead in the Juvenile Boys’ Division.
On the girls side of the draw play got underway on Tuesday for the first of their three rounds. Josee Doyon of Royal Quebec had the low round on Tuesday, a two under par 70, and leads Emily Peters of Brockville Country Club by three strokes.
Play for boys and girls will finish on Thursday.
