Prevost Leads Way At Quebec Junior

The Sun Life Quebec Junior Championship presented by Humber College got underway on Monday at the Outaouais Golf Club in Rockland, Ontario.

The boys started the first of their four rounds on Monday while the girls tee off for round one on Tuesday.

Round one saw some fine play by the boys, led by a Gatineau resident.  Sebastien Prevost, who play out of the the Buckingham Golf Club just across the river from Rockland) shot 69 and leads the tournament for Junior Boys by three strokes.  Patrick Boudreault of the Greyhawk Golf Club is in second place at 72.

In the Juvenile Boys flight there is a tight race.  Lucas Greco of Ile de Montreal Golf Club shot 74 for the first round and has a slim one-stroke lead over Ottawa Hunt Club’s Michael Reaume and Victor Bovet of Laval-sur-le-Lac.

The Championship wraps up on Thursday, July 21st.
