
Ottawa’s Graham Gunn is back in action on the European Senior Tour in a big way. The pro affiliated with the White Sands Golf & Practice Centre in Orleans is leading the way after the opening round of the Sicilian Senior Open.
Gunn, who was in 88th place on the Tour’s Order of Merit heading into this week, shot 4 under par, 68, on Friday to take a 2 stroke lead over Horacio Carbonetti and Domingo Hospital in cool, wet conditions.
The 54 hole tournament being played at the Il Picciolo Golf Club in Castiglione di Sicilia, Italy will conclude on Sunday. The winner will receive $37,500 Euro.
Besides being a member of the European Senior Tour, Graham is also a member of the CPGA Ottawa Zone who has won the Zone Championship a total of four times. He is also a former winner of the CPGA National Club Profesisonal and Senior Championships.
