Quebec PeeWee & Mosquito Championship

Golf Quebec contested their PeeWee & Mosquito Championship earlier this week for golfers aged nine through thirteen.  The tournament was held at the Godefrey Golf Club and wrapped up on July 26th.  Poor weather hampered the event, forcing the number of holes played to be shortened for some of the divisions.

In the 10-11 boys there was an Ottawa connection with Jared Coyle of the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club tying for the lead but eventually losing in a playoff to Frederic Rousseau of Royal Quebec.

For the 10-11 girls the winner was Sarah-Eve Rheaume of Royal Quebec.

The Girls 12-13 class saw a slim one-stroke victory by Andree Anne Cyr of Pinegrove over Camille Marquis of Levis.

Sun Kim prevailed in the Boys’ 12-13 division.  Kim, of the St-Raphael GC, shot 69-76 to win by five strokes.

The last of the competitions was the nine year-old boys where Zachary Tosi of Kanawaki shot 129 for 27 holes to earn the championship.
