Revell Secures 2012 Canadian Tour Card

With one event remaining on the 2011 Canadian Tour and sitting in 102nd place on the Order of Merit, Kingston’s Brad Revell thought it was a pretty good idea to head to the tour’s Fall Q-School this week.  He’s glad he did.

With a final round score of 70, the 24 year-old secured his 2012 Canadian Tour Card on Thursday at the Hidden Lake Golf Club New Course.  His four round total of  276 total (8 under par) put him a tie for 6th place at the tournament where just seven full cards were available.  Even if he does not finish in the top 80 on this year’s order of merit  he is set for 2012 as far as the Canadian Tour is concerned.

With his Canadian Tour card secure Revell can now focus on 1st stage of PGA Tour qualifying which starts next month knowing he will have a place to play if he cannot make his way on to the PGA or Nationwide Tour.

Julian James of Ottawa tied for 32nd place with a 290 total.  He failed to earn a full or conditional card.

Ryan Ellis of Cumberland withdrew after three rounds.
