Manotick, Ontario’s Rideau View Golf Club has renewed their agreement with their favourite son, Brad Fritsch.
The PGA Tour player who recently secured his playing privileges for 2014 with a dramatic finish in the WEB.COM Tour finals, has long been a member at the private club in the south end of Ottawa and the relationship is a perfect fit.
“I couldn’t be happier to once again be sponsored by Rideau View Golf Club. I love the golf course and the people there have always supported me,” stated Fritsch in a release from the club.
Added Rideau View general manager Steve Ducat , “We couldn’t be prouder for Brad. The entire Rideau View family was rooting for him, and it’s great to know that he’ll be back on the PGA Tour this year.”
Fritsch has recently fought some back issues but appears to be on the mend. He had to withdraw from the 2013/2014 season opening FRYS.COM Open a couple weeks ago after a blistering second day 64. A bulging disk in the back has been pinpointed as the issue. He has been working on the back situation and after getting some needed rest will make an appearance in this week’s McGladrey Classic in Georgia.
He was selected to represent Canada at the upcoming World Cup of Golf in Australia and expects to be able to fulfill that commitment. He will pair up with Brantford’s David Hearn for the event.
In his rookie season on the PGA Tour Fritsch made 18 cuts in 24 appearances in earned $452,184.
As part of the Rideau View sponsorship agreement, through next year Fritsch will continue to have the club’s logo on his shirt sleeve, act as an ambassador for the club, and return to play in the annual Rideau View Pro-Am next summer.
