Seven Things To Know: adidas TOUR360 22 Golf Shoes

adidas introduced the TOUR360 franchise seventeen years as their flagship golf footwear franchise. This year they say they’ve taken the model “down to the studs” and come up with a new recipe built on the foundation of the original guiding tenants for the originals, fit and traction.

Here are seven things to know about the new adidas TOUR360 22.

1. A Variety of Models

There are models available and specifically designed for men, women, and juniors. The TOUR360 22 will be offered in five models: both laced and BOA models for men and women, and a simplified lace model for junior golfers.

2. Spikes, Done Differently

The adidas TOUR360 22 features spikes directly injected into the TPU base of the shoes, what adidas calls “SPIKEMORE”. They claim the process allows them to place the spikes more precisely to and create sizes and shapes on spikes better suited to their sole position to provide better traction. They also claim it helps them be more friendly to grass surfaces.

3. A More “Human” Base

They are built on the “Feet You Wear™ last” that was first introduced by adidas in their non-golf footwear in 1996. the design style mimics the natural shape of the foot. Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf, says “Golfers will instantly notice a more natural fit that offers better stability, better traction and amazing comfort. I’ve been a part of the creation of every model of the TOUR360, so I can confidently say that this is our best-performing model we have ever introduced.”

4. Laces Out!…Or In

Golfers get to choose how they want to secure their feet, either via traditional laces or BOA® Technology. the team at adidas collaborated with the BOA Fit Performance Lab to create a variation perfectly suited to the TOUR360 22 design. this variation features two overlapping panels that cover the top of the instep and pull the fit downward to secure the foot. The BOA Fit System, with a micro-adjustable Li2 dial, wraps around the heel, locking the foot into place while providing customized fit.

5. Marquee Users

Some of the top golf professionals in the world will be wearing the adidas TOUR360 22 including recent LPGA winner and major winner Danielle Kang, major champion Dustin Johnson, and Olympic gold medalist Xander Shauffele.

“The TOUR360 22 is packed with so much innovation and technology that I could feel the difference the minute I put them on,” shares Kang who won on the LPGA TOUR for 6th time at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. “What impressed me the most was how meticulous the team was throughout the design process, and I think the final product is a testament to adidas’ commitment to never stop striving for better. I’m really excited to perform in it this season.”

6. Respecting The Future

Sustainability is a big message for adidas and they adhere to that mission in these new shoes. The design uses material that have extra durability including a leather upper backed by a one-year waterproof warranty. The TOUR360 22 models also utilize microfiber and textiles that incorporate recycled materials, in line with the company’s mission to help end plastic waste.
