They have all had better days on the golf course.

Save for Jennifer Ha of Calgary, all the Canadians playing in the third and final stage of LPGA Tour/Symetra Tour Qualifying School were over par in round one. The 90-hole event is being played at LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach, Florida and is scheduled to end on Sunday.

Ha turned in a two under par round of 70 and will enter the second round on Thursday in a share of 14th place.

The lead is held by two players at a score of -5, Pannarat Thanapolboonyaras & Katelyn Dambaugh (a).

After Ha the top scoring  Canadian was veteran Lorie Kane in a tie for 53rd at +1.

All players who make the 72 hole cut will earn Symetra Tour status. The top 20 players (no ties) after the full 90 holes will earn full status on the LPGA Tour in 2017 while the next 25 and ties will have conditional status.
