RideauView member Susan Pearl is quickly becoming the most prolific winner in GolfQuebec Provincial Golf Tournaments.
On Wednesday, July 14th, Pearl added the Quebec Senior Provincial Women’s Championship to her growing resume.
It comes on the heels of winning the Quebec Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship and the Quebec Women’s Players’ Cup earlier in the season.
After a a disappointing first round of 82 at the Blainvillier Heritage course, Pearl was a daunting six strokes back of the lead with just a single round to try and close the gap. She did so with a very impressive 72, the lowest round of the tournament by four strokes.
That allowed her to slip by fellow OVGA golfer Teri deLuis of Brockville Country Club by just a single stroke. Another shot back in third place was another OVGA golfer, Diane Dolan of Hyalnds Golf Club.
Both Pearl and De Luis were named to the Quebec Provincial Team that will compete at the Canadian Senior Women’s Championships in late August at Whitevale Golf Club in Whitevale, Ontario, just east of Toronto.
