The Landings Dominates GAO Kingston Jr. Intersectionals

The 2011 Golf Association of Ontario Kingston District Junior Intersectionals are in the books.  The new competition for the District sponsored by McDonald’s Restaurants of Greater Kingston covers golf courses from Brockville to Warkworth saw junior teams from Cataraqui, Amherstview, Loyalist, and The Landings seeded in Division 1.  They competed on August 1st at the Amhertsview Golf Club.

The Landings Golf & Teaching Centre, well known for their junior player development programs, showed the results of their work by dominating the matches.  The team secure 46 points out of the possible 48 that they could earn.

Finishing second was the Amherstview team with 24 points while Cataraqui picked up 21, while Loyalist tallied just 5 points.

Members of the successful team from The Landings included: Echo Chan, Noah Steele, Eric Macrow, Brandon Lackey, Thomas Burton, Connor Lyon, Paul Martin, Sean Kissick, Ben Ottenhof, and Jacob Gazeley.

Section 2 was hosted by the Colonnade Golf & Country Club where the home course earned their way up to the top division in 2012 by winning 39 points.  Second to them as the team from Bay of Quinte with a total of 32 points.  Oak Hills (13 points) and Gananoque G&CC (12 points) rounded out the division.

Six pointers for Colonnade included Lucas Travers, Cole Busschaert, and Connor Smith.
