Amherstview Golf Club’s Ryan Kennedy had his best finish ever on the Great Lakes Tour on Wednesday.
The Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate and former Crimson Hawk golfer shot a second consecutive three under par round of 68 to finish tied for third place at the Great Lakes Tour UST Mamiya Fall Championship. The event was played at the Mandarin Golf Club in Markham, Ontario. It was the fifth Platinum Series event on the tour for 2011. Last month Kennedy made the cut at the Seaforth Country Classic, the first Canadian Tour event of his career, where he played on a sponsor’s exemption.
Matthew McMahon of Brockville tied for 18th place.
Craig Hicks won the UST Mamiya Fall Championship with a cumulative score of nine under par.
