It appears that Scottsdale, Arizona’s Kevin Tucker liked the top spot at Canadian Tour Qualifying School so much that he decided to keep it for at least one more day.
Tucker posted a second straight three under par score of 69 on Wednesday to maintain the lead at the tournament in Southern California, putting him halfway towards earning a spot on the tour for 2012.
Thirty players in total will earn playing privileges at the 72-hole event, while 30 more will have non-exempt status.
Stirling, Ontario’s Oliver Tubb slipped a little bit in round two. A round of 78 dropped him from a tie for 15th to a tie for 51st place, yet he is just two strokes off the qualifying position for full playing status.
The tournament continues until Friday. A leaderboard can be found here.
