The pursuit of six Ottawa Valley Golf Association Men’s City & District A Class Championships in a row is alive for Allen McGee.
The Dunrobin resident and member at Arnprior Golf Club posted a 69 on Monday at Greensmere Golf & Country Club’s Premiere Course to share the first round lead of the 2012 Championship.
Joining him at the top of the leaderboard was veteran player Chris McCuaig of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club.
Heading into Tuesday’s second round at the Greensmere Legacy course the duo have a two shot lead over Ryan Nowack of Rideau View and Andrew Shannon of Hammond.
The final round will be played Thursday, August 30th at the Rivermead Golf Club.
