Canadian Trio Looking To Earn Full Status at the LPGA Q-Series

The final test of qualifying that will determine access to the LPGA and the Epson Tour in 2024 is about to begin.

104 players will be in the field starting Thursday, November 30 in Mobile, Alabama, all with a hope that come Tuesday, December 5th, they will be a member of the 2024 LPGA TOUR.

The host facility is the Magnolia Grove Golf Course (Falls and Crossings courses), which is part of the state’s Robert Trent Jones Trail.

The competition consists of 108 holes of stroke-play competition with a cut coming after round four. The players will have two rounds each on the Falls and Crossings courses, with rounds five and six played on the Crossings course after the cut.

Players who have made their way into the Q-Series have already earned 2024 Epson Tour Status in category C, but they will have to finish higher up in the field for that to be meaningful and provide some starts.

Those who finish from positions 21-45 will earn 2024 LPGA Status in Category 15 and well as Epson Tour status in Category C.

What they are all chasing in one of the top 20 and ties positions which earns 2024 LPGA Status in Category 14.

In addition to the Tour status, a $150,000 purse will be distributed to the top 45 players and ties.

Three Canadians are competing in the Q-Series. Two, Alena Sharp and Maddie Szeryk, earned their way into the field by being in the #101-#150 position on the 2023 LPGA Points List, while Savannah Grewal came up through the full qualifying school. Grewal, who turned pro in time for the Q-Series was co-medalist at Stage 1 in late August, and tied for 6th at Stage II in October to advance.
