More Than A Splash of Colour: FootJoy Evolves HyperFlex Franchise

The HyperFlex line of golf shoes from FootJoy was already known for a high-level of comfort. The previous models were lightweight, easy on the feet, and a delight to walk 18 holes in.

The new HyperFlex, and HyperFlex Carbon retain all that while ramping up support and visual appeal.

When we had an early look at these models, it certainly was the bright colouring that made them stand out, but the designers have managed to do it in a non-intrusive way. Distinctive enough to get your attention, without getting to the level of “look at me” when you walk into a room. It’s a nice compromise.

Designed for both women and men, these new models recognize that no matter your level of play, you are involved an athletic motion and you need footwear to support those efforts.

It starts with the stability of a “OptiFlex” outsole design for flexibility and comfort with the addition of a carbon fibre plate in the HyperFlex Carbon models for those who need a higher level of stiffness in the sole.

That is enhanced with stability features in the outsole and with a ThermoPlastic saddle strap that supports foot movement as they work in a lateral direction.

“The new HyperFlex and HyperFlex Carbon offer Tour-proven enhancements within the athletic silo, delivering unquestioned innovation, comfort, stability and a visual design aesthetic that celebrates performance technology for the golfer athlete,” said Patrick Trubiano, Director of Product Management, FJ Footwear.  “This product will excite current HyperFlex wearers and those looking to add more power to their game.”

The company says that this product is not just about amateur golfers, it has already been received well and worn on Tour. Several players were spotted wearing them in the Fall at the PGA TOUR’s Houston event,.

Models for men and women will arrive at retail on March 1, 2023, including laced and BOA options.
