PUMA Golf Puts A Tropical Golf Spin On A Classic Shoe

In 1987, the Slipstream shoe from PUMA debuted. It was chunky, aggressive-looking, and tailored to the basketball world at the time. It became a staple of the PUMA brand, a look that was been returned to periodically as nostalgia dictates.

This is one of those times, but with a twist.

With golf and lifestyle masking up into the sports world these days, PUMA Golf is dropping a new version of the Slipstream, in collaboration with KYGO (the Norwegian DJ and Producer) and PALM TREE CREW (PTC). PTC is known for their live music events that have a tropical flair. It has been the inspiration for several projects between the parties for a number of years, resulting in some very unique clubs, apparel, and accessories.

The new limited-edition, unisex PUMA x PTC Slipstream G Shoe stays on that path.

“We wanted to use a Slipstream, originally a PUMA lifestyle shoe, to make a statement on the course, so we designed a pair with our unique PTC spin,” said Kygo (real name, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll). “Palm Tree Crew has flourished into an epic collaboration between Rickie Fowler and myself and I am always blown away by the designs and gear we are able to bring to the golf course with Puma Golf.”

This new Slipstream G has a tropical feel with a PUMA White body and Regal Blue and Pink Icing accents over its leather and suede construction. With more than just style in mind, they have been “fitted” with a spikeless outsole for on-course traction, along with an internal PROFOAM midsole with a mesh molded sock liner for enhanced comfort.

As always with a PTC product, you get a Palm Tree accent, this time in the form of a heels-side logo.

The PUMA x PTC Slipstream G is available in sizes 7-15 and is being through selected retailers and through the online shops of PUMA GOLF and Palm Tree Crew. The Canadian retail price is $179.99.
