Inverary Golf Course to Join the Ranks of QKIM Golf for the 2023 Season

Quinte Kingston Intersectional Matches (QKIM) is all set for its 16th season, which will feature teams from area golf courses going head-to-head in friendly competitive  matches.

A total of 81 teams of men and women golfers from 19 clubs will be competing across six divisions, commencing July 30th through to September 19th. The new  season will spark new rivalries as teams move up and down within their divisions  based on their previous year’s performance. However, all eyes will be on the  women’s team from Cataraqui GC and the men’s team from Trillium Wood GC to  see if they will be able to defend their championship titles.

The 2023 season will also welcome Inverary Golf and Country Club to the QKIM  fold. The family-owned and operated golf course in Inverary has been a staple on eastern Ontario’s golf map since 1980, when it was initially developed as a 9-hole course by the Wowk family. The Wowks eventually expanded the operation to 18  holes in 1998.

Inverary GCC General Manager Jason Wowk stated, “We’re excited to be joining  QKIM and providing our members with an opportunity to play in these popular match play events.” Jason explained, “Initially, we will be entering a team in the  Senior Men’s Division and plan to expand into the other divisions in the coming  seasons.”

QKIM encourages members of participating golf courses to get in touch with their  Club Pro or Team Captain to see how they can qualify to play on their club teams.
