S-Drive Provide Colourful Pop To ECCO Product Offerings

Running shoe inspiration? The new ECCO S-Drive golf shoe has it as the company debuts a lightweight product with a very technical construction that they say will provide both flexibility and stability.

“We’ve taken inspiration from the best features of modern running shoes to make a golf shoe that is unlike anything else on the market and, fundamentally, will really perform,” says ECCO Lead Designer Andrzej Bikowski. “It holds every facet necessary to play golf at the highest level, including stability, support and ECCO’s quintessential comfort.”

The immediate take-away from an initial look is the distinct styling of this model, a big departure from some of the company’s more conservative designs. The asymmetrical enclosure and curved patterning sharply separate the look from other golf shoes.

The upper uses a soft, breathable mesh (inclusive of microfiber) that ECCO states will “move freely with the foot and enhance fit, feel and durability.”

Aligning with the upper is a midsole that has been reinforced with a “stability wing” intended to prevent the foot from rolling during the swing.

Like all ECCO shoes, the company says they are made in company-owned factories and feature a one piece design with no glue or stitching used for greater integrity,
