(PGA of Ottawa Communications) August 15, 2023, Ottawa, Ontario – The PGA of Ottawa played its Pro-Lady Championship, presented by Swing Control on the Flagstick.com PGA Ottawa Tour, at the Loch March Golf & Country Club on Monday, August 14th.

PGA of Ottawa Golf Professionals with their club teams of three amateur lady golfers participated in a shotgun start with the format being a scramble competition.

Although she had a different team of amateur ladies from her Rivermead Golf Club, Sarah Landry finished in first place in the PGA of Ottawa Pro-Lady Scramble. Kerry McVey, Kristin Stauffer and Julia Pelletier were her amateur team partners that took first place in the Pro-Lady Scramble. They finished with a score of 12-under-par, 60, on the par 72 Loch March course, narrowly defeating the other Rivermead Team of Laura MacHutchon, Lisa Muise and Josee Lacasse, with golf professional Mathieu Perron, by one stroke.

“It’s always a Great Day at Loch March”, is the Carp, Ontario club’s mantra and it certainly was for the participants in the 2023 PGA of Canada Ottawa Zone Pro-Lady Scramble on Monday August 14th. The Head Professional at Loch March is Danielle Nadon and she along with her team ensured that all participants in this year’s Pro-Lady were treated to a great experience from arrival to departure.

The Pro-Lady has Swing Control as their presenting sponsor and Sue Klopp from Swing Control was on hand to display a wide assortment of their golf attire for women. The inspiration for Swing Control came from a love of golf and fashion. Their skilled designers have spent years turning “active wear” into “anytime” wear.

Twenty-one PGA of Canada Ottawa Zone golf professionals with club teams of three ladies participated in the Pro-Lady. Their full afternoon and evening at Loch March included lunch and cocktails on the patio followed by the generous buffet set in the upper level of the clubhouse.

The standard close-to-the-hole and long drive prizes for amateurs were awarded with the National Golf Club Owners Association Team of Dawna Chambers, Kerri Seabrook and Morgan McHardy sweeping the skill prizes.

Marc Blais from the Champlain Golf Club and tournament organizer Carol Ann Baxter from the combined Cedarhill Golf & Country Club & Archies Family Golf Centre took the close-to-the-hole awards in the professional category while Stephen Veenema from the Loch March Golf & Country Club was the winner of the long drive competition, narrowly outdistancing his boss Danielle Nadon.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the PGA of Ottawa Pro-Lady Event on the Flagstick.com PGA Ottawa Tour at Loch March.
