It’s short notice, but the annual Alexandria Open, played at the Glengarry Golf & Country Club this coming Saturday, August 12th, is still seeking players for their field.

Tee times will be starting at 8am starting with the senior flight through the A Flight. Players must have a Handicap or they will be marked as a zero.
The cost will be $20 for Members and $60 for Non Members. Players may make a pairing request but please do so a few days in advance so it can be arranged. Please let the pro shop know when you contact them.
A Flight: 8.0 and Under Blue tees)
B Flight: 8.1-14 (White tees)
C Flight: 14.1 and Higher (white tees)
Senior Division: 65 and older (yellow tees)
** players may choose to play in the A no matter their handicap to try and win the overall Title. If anybody would like to do this, please let me know or the pro shop in advance**
There will be a membership drawn at random to one of the participants. This draw will take place after the rounds are complete and the winner must be PRESENT at the draw (club policy) to win the membership! It is also non-transferable.
Next, the junior golfers from Glengarry will be using the putting green the morning of the tournament. We are trying to think of a solution for that morning that can accommodate everybody but since they had the dates booked in first, plan as if it will be CLOSED! I want to give that information plenty in advance so there is no confusion. Whatever we decide to do will be fair to all competitors.
Finally, we will be reversing the nines to allow people to watch the competitors finish their rounds. Please spread the word to your golfing friends and let’s make this a great event.
