In a week that has been filled with car rides, flights, pro-ams and competitive rounds in two countries, not to mention endless requests for interview, autographs, and pictures, it would be easy to give Brooke and Brittany Henderson a pass if they did not play well this week on the Symetra Tour.

Apparently they’ll have none of that.

Brittany, 24th on the tour’s money list heading into this week’s stop in South Bend, Indiana, has posted a 71 and 74 so far and will look to move up the board on Sunday.

Brooke, who finished 2nd on Wednesday at the Canadian Women’s Tour event in Smiths Falls and is playing on a sponsors exemption, seems to have designs on the top position this weekend.  She is in second place alone after two rounds.

After starting with an even par round of 72 on Friday, the 17 year-old tore up the Blackthorn Golf Club for 8 birdies, resulting in a 65 (-7) with just one bogie on the 7th hole to mar the card.  She made it a lot easier by hitting 16 greens in regulation and taking just 28 putts.

Brooke (-7 total) trails leader Dottie Ardina of the Philippines (-10) by three strokes.  Ardina posted a 65 on Saturday as well with birdies on four of the last five holes. The duo will play together on Sunday in the final pairing.

Fellow Canadian Jessica Wallace shares 4th place at five under par.
