Flagstick.com PGA of Ottawa Tour Gets Underway With Spring Open

The PGA of Ottawa Spring Open on the Flagstick.com PGA Ottawa Tour sponsored by Puma Cobra will be hosted by The Marshes Golf Club in Kanata on Monday, June 5, 2023.

The 2023 Spring Open features the largest professional field in the history of PGA of Ottawa Tournament Competition with participation by 61 PGA of Ottawa Golf Professionals including 4 Life Members, 8 Ladies, 19 Seniors and 30 professionals in the Main Division. In addition, 9 candidates for membership are taking their PGA of Canada Play Ability Tests.

“I am thrilled to have such a strong field representing multiple divisions to open up the 2023 Flagstick.com PGA Ottawa Tour season” said Carol Ann Baxter, Executive Director of the PGA of Ottawa.

A change to the scoring format for the 2023 Spring Open will be the use of the Stableford Points System where 1 point will be awarded for a bogie, 2 points for a par, 3 points for a birdie, 4 points for an eagle and 5 points for an albatross.

Defending their 2022 Spring Open Championships against strong competition will be Kingsway Park’s Michel Dagenais in the main division and GUNNGOLF’s Graham Gunn in the senior division.
