The Rideau View Golf Club in Manotick, Ontario held their Annual Pro-Am on Monday, August 22, 2016. 28 golf professionals, many of them from the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada, played from the black tees measuring just over 7,000 yards on the manicured Rideau View course.
Raoul Menard was the top professional with his score of 67 on the par 72 layout. For his efforts, he received a cheque for $10,000 and joined an impressive list of Champions including Trey Denton, Derek Gillespie, Graham Gunn, David Mathis, Jeff Quinney, Paul Sherratt, Brad Fritsch, Chris Learmonth, Lee Curry, Kent Eger, Craig Matthew, Scott Hawley, Adam Cornelson, Michael Gligic and Danny Sahl.
When asked about his win by Flagstick Golf Magazine, Raoul replied – “It feels really good. It’s a super nice purse for a one-day event. It was really fun today. It’s going to help pay for my participation in PGA Tour Latin America events. I like the Rideau View course and the work they’ve done over the past couple of years. It’s a tough test of golf.”
