With the LPGA on hiatus this week many of the LPGA Tour’s top stars will be taking part in a Ladies European Tour (LET) event in New York, including Canada’s Brooke Henderson.
The Aramco Team Series – New York, will play out at the Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point on October 13-15 with 54 holes of individual stroke play and 36 holes counting toward a team event. There is (USD) $500,000 up for grabs in each competition.
The 78-player field includes many top players from both circuits. In 2021 the Korda sisters won the team competition while Charley Hull took individual honours. All are back to compete this year.
“Everyone I have spoken with has commented on how well the events are run and how well all the players are looked after. It is a very unique format with the opportunity to play alongside an amateur which is not something we, as players, do every week,” said Henderson in a statement late last month.
The 6th ranked player in the world continued, “I also love being a part of a team environment and enjoy the camaraderie you can create with your teammates. I can’t wait to get to New York and play alongside some of the best female golfers in the world.”
